Our box office websites are hosted on a Microsoft platform, and therefore use IIS. A session cookie is created by Microsoft to differentiate between each individual customer on any particular website on that platform. These cookies tend to expire after a set time (typically 20 minutes) or when the browser is closed, and then cannot be re-used. This cookie is used to identify the session and retain a customer’s basket details throughout the length of the session.
