Lise has a choice to make. Loaded country bumpkin or penniless, hunky farmhand? Of course, there’s no contest, but her mum has other ideas. Heels are dug in and sparks fly, as a mother-daughter battle of wills ensues.

For the younger ballet fan, Birmingham Royal Ballet also perform an hour-long interactive show specially adapted for children aged 3+. Featuring excerpts from some of the Company's favourite ballets, including La Fille mal gardée, interspersed with a storyteller introducing the children to the orchestra and dancers, and sharing some of the hard work along with some technical magic. The perfect introduction to ballet.
